Food at Camp

At Zein we believe that nutrition is one of the most important aspects of a child’s development. A healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity are essential for children’s health and well-being. Young children are growing quickly – they have high energy and nutrient requirements comparative to their size. They also eat smaller amounts than older children and adults, so it is important for them to eat regular meals and snacks that contain sufficient energy and nutrients for their needs.

There’s no need to prepare a packed lunch for your child when they attend our Holiday Camps – our teachers prepare fresh, nutritious food on site every day.

Our menu includes lots of fresh fruits and organic vegetables, cooked meats and fish, pasta, rice, bread and cereals. We make it a priority to ensure that every child in our care eats as healthily as possible and experiences a range of wholesome options. Fussy eaters are guided and encouraged to try new things, and all children are given choices about what they would like to have. On days where field trips take place, our staff take along a picnic lunch for the children to enjoy during their day out and about. Campers have normally returned to base in time for their late afternoon snack.

Special dietary needs and allergies can also be accounted for if teachers have been informed in advance.
