SIMONA’S STORY

My dream has been to be a teacher since I was 15 years old. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Italy, enabling me to teach Physical Education and Sports. I am also a softball coach and started coaching my club’s youth team when I was 16. When I moved to the Netherlands at the end of 2011, I was looking for a place to combine my passion for teaching with being part of an international community: Zein was the perfect fit for me!

I have been part of the Zein family for 10 years, and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone at Zein is highly professional and qualified, and all the people I have worked with over the years have taught me something that made me the person and the teacher I am today. The most amazing part of the job is getting to know so many families from around the world. Children teach you so much about their culture, their languages, their special traditions – this enriches me every day.

My own experiences of being an expat and a mother of three wonderful children also helps me relate to the struggles that Zein parents can experience. Thanks to the Zein philosophy and the attention paid to the needs of both children and parents, we can make a difference and be the “family” everyone is looking for.

Zein cares for their clients as much as they care for their employees. Over the years, I have grown so much professionally, and I have also been able to adjust my schedule to my family’s needs by changing roles from After School Care teacher to Pre-School teacher. Through creating new activities, developing their programme and implementing new ideas, Zein is always looking to create the best environment to help children make special connections, develop their interests, and build their self-esteem so that they are ready for any new adventures in life. Zein is a happy place, and I am looking forward to making a difference here for years to come.
