Activities, Projects & Sports

Project-based activities are designed to tap into the children’s interests and encourage teamwork.

After School Activities & Projects
Our After School Care programme is based on a combination of Monthly Themes & (Bi-)Weekly Topics as well as a varied Club Activity Programme. Through the Club Activity Programme , we provide children with the opportunity to collaborate on a focussed project for an extended period of time (4-6 weeks). These project-based activities are designed to tap into the children’s interests and encourage teamwork.

Projects vary enormously in scope and nature, but topics which develop increased community awareness are particularly encouraged. Activities are designed to expose children to new skills as they are guided in a ‘do-it-yourself’ format, providing a physical outcome they can show and be proud of. Family involvement is also often enhanced as children show and discuss their projects with enthusiasm at pick-up time…

The emphasis is on the children having the opportunity to try a variety of sports and activities in a relaxed environment.

Physical Activities & Sports
Outside of the extended projects, there is a range of outdoor physical activities on offer – both sports and general recreational games. Time spent on outdoor activities is mainly about relaxation and fun. Depending on the sport and personal input of the child skills can be developed and improved, but the emphasis is on the children having the opportunity to try a variety of sports and activities in a relaxed environment.

Team games, matches, and mini-tournaments all have a part to play in ensuring that children of all abilities have a chance to stay active, feel included and succeed. Children who are naturally sporty by nature will, of course, be encouraged to further develop and practice their skills, but our teachers are always mindful of encouraging a healthy balance of activities each day.
