Pre-School Nutrition

We prepare fresh, nutritious food on-site every day in our well-equipped kitchen

Meeting the nutritional needs of small children
Good nutrition is one of the most important aspects of a child’s development. A healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity are essential for children’s health and well-being – ensuring that they eat well in their early years is key to ensuring that they achieve their potential. Young children are growing quickly – they have high energy and nutrient requirements comparative to their size. They also eat smaller amounts than older children and adults, so it is important for them to eat regular meals and snacks that contain sufficient energy and nutrients for their needs.

Chef at each location
We prepare fresh, nutritious food on site every day, ensuring that the children in our care are provided with healthy food during their Pre-School sessions. To encourage all children to eat a wide variety of foods and develop good dietary habits, we offer morning snacks that include lots of fresh fruits and organic vegetables, milk and fresh water. Later during the session, children enjoy a freshly made warm lunch prepared by our chef – they eat the same menu as the older children in our Day Care.

Encouraging a wide variety of foods
The harvesting and preparation of food – even in its most basic of forms – is a great example of how we turn everyday tasks into a learning opportunity for our children. Dependent on the time of the year, the children grow their own organic fruits and vegetables in our gardens – sometimes then helping the staff prepare delicious snacks for them to enjoy.

Organic products
The food and drink we source are organic from a provider who believes that when we treat the soil well, the result is healthy, tasty products, full of nutrients and rich in taste. Our products have no synthetic fragrances, colourings, flavours or preservatives.
