Zein and ICP hosted the International Business Event at the Volvo Ocean Race 2018
Attracting and retaining international talent in The Hague
Yesterday evening, we hosted the successful International Business Event at the Volvo Ocean Race Village together with the International Community Platform. We kicked off the evening with a few short and entertaining talks of Saskia Bruines (The Hague's alderman for Education, Knowledge Economy and International Affairs), Henk Kool (Chairman Economic Board The Hague), Robbert Dijkgraaf (Founder Lift) and Nicole van Haelst (Director ICP & Founder Lift). Common denominator was the question of how to attract and retain international talent in The Hague and how to reinforce the mutual cooperation between important stakeholders within this particular field, such as educational institutes, business and government.
Life as a skipper
Straight after, Simeon Tienpont (Skipper AkzoNobel boat) joined the party and vividly told us about life as a skipper at the Volvo Ocean Race. His untiring commitment to the race and sailing in general is truly inspiring and quite fascinating as well.
And last but not least, we offered our business partners an exclusive view behind the scenes ánd at the boats at the Race Village of the Ocean Volvo Race.
