Winter Holiday Camps 2021

Discover our Winter Camps 2021 Programme & join the adventure!

In line with the season, we will be running Winter Themed Multi-Activity Day Camps during the upcoming winter holidays of all key international and Dutch schools in The Hague. There will be a full and varied programme of exciting activity workshops for your child to choose from throughout the week, so they’ll be able to try something new and different every day! The themed workshop activities of the day will be complemented by a range of sports and recreational games - all arranged by age group (Explorers: 4-6 years old & Adventurers: 7-12 years old) to ensure campers of all ages will have great fun and learn new skills... 

For children aged 4-12 years, the day camps run at all our Out of School Care locations from Monday to Friday from 08:00-18:30. Please see the sections below for more details on the workshop activity programme or click here to reserve a place for your child.

Field trips & complementary activities

Please note, due to the undertainty around COVID restrictions, all field trips are still TBC. If all goes ahead as planned, campers will enjoy a field trip to a local, age-appropriate destination! Field trip destinations include Glow Golf, Speelparadijs, TRIXS and Candy Castle!  Alongside our main activities of the day (see break-down in the menu below), the daily programme is accompanied by sports and recreational games, indoors and outdoors on the play ground.

The Elms: 20th Dec 2021 - 31 Dec 2021

MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's Winter Camp offers the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities structured around a Winter theme...

Monday 20th December 2021

To kick off winter camps, our Explorers will make a bird feeder using recycled materials, before creating a collage of a skiing scene. The Adventurers will make a snowman mobile and learn about a bright red winter bird when they create a cardinal painting. The day will end with sports and recreational activities.

Tuesday 21st December 2021

Ready, set, bake! We start the day with a baking session, making heart cookies with a wonderfully festive gingerbread flavour. In the afternoon our Explorers will learn how to create beautiful winter trees using finger painting techniques, and our Adventurers will also get creative and work on a snowy town painting project. The day will end with sports and recreational activities.

Field Trip: TBC. Upon return to camp, we will enjoy sports and recreational activities.

Thursday 23rd December 2021

Today, our Explorers will make and decorate their own festive paper tree before creating a fluffy tactile penguin! In the meantime, our Adventurers will use their fine motor skills to make some snowflake decorations and get creative when they prepare salty dough ornaments. Each camp day will end with fun sports and recreational games.

Friday 24th December 2021

Our Winter campers return for another exciting day, which begins with our Explorers making an egg-celent reindeer craft, whilst our Adventurers jump into a science experiment, learning how to make a snowstorm in a jar. In the afternoon, there’s no worry about dark evenings drawing in as our campers will all enjoy making a snowman light that will make their bedrooms nice and cosy. The week will end with sports and recreational activities.

Monday 27th December 2021

For our enthusiastic Explorers, the week begins with painting clay bells, whilst the Adventurers make gift cards with beading details. All of our campers will enjoy making fun banana kebab characters. The day ends with sports and recreational activities. 

Tuesday 28th December 2021

Looking forward to the year ahead, our Explorers will make and decorate a colourful calendar, followed by a fuzzy polar bear craft. The Adventurers will decorate their own mug – the sky is the limit as campers can use their imagination to draw any pattern or design! The Adventurers will then make marble art festive cards. The day ends with sports and recreational activities for all children.

Brrrr it’s getting chilly! It’s the perfect time for our Explorers to make their very own winter crown! Will they choose an Elsa crown or a different style? We will wear our wonderful creations once they are ready! The Explorers will also enjoy a snowman bauble craft today. The Adventurers will make magical melted snowman tealight ornaments, before getting scientific when they make a magic ice-cold snow dough! As always, the day will end with sports and recreational activities.

Friday 31st December 2021

We’re excited to end the week with our Explorers by making snowman bowling pins – of course we’ll have a game once they’re made! The Adventurers will enjoy a snowflake craft, using soft and colourful yarn! All campers will bake delicious shortbread cookies in the afternoon and the day will end with sports and recreational activities.

In the meantime, our Adventurers will use their fine motor skills to make some snowflake decorations and get creative when they prepare salty dough ornaments. Each camp day will end with fun sports and recreational games.

Back to winter wonders at camp with an icicle craft for our Explorers in the morning, whilst our Adventurers enjoy a pottery activity, making snowman pinch pots using air dry clay and paint! In the afternoon, we will look to the night skies and make special starry night cards. As always, the day will end with sports and recreational activities. 

Friday 7th January 2022

Ice isn’t just for icicles, this morning all of our campers will learn how to paint using ice! After creating colourful ice paintings, we will all enjoy dancing to festive songs and playing musical chairs and other party games! The day will end with sports and recreational activities.

Please note: Friday 7th Jan 2021 is the final day of camp for children who usually attend The Pines, and for children form local Dutch schools. 

Monday 10th January 2022

To start our last week at camp, our Explorers will make a bird feeder using recycled materials, before creating a collage of a skiing scene. The Adventurers will make a snowman mobile and learn about a bright red winter bird when they create a cardinal painting. The day will end with sports and recreational activities.

Tuesday 11th January 2022

For our last day at camp, we’re making our own pizza! With delicious healthy toppings, we’re cooking in the morning and, of course, enjoying our creation for lunch! In the afternoon, we will enjoy dance sessions to varied music, enjoying different styles of dancing and movement! The day will end with sports and recreational games.

Tuesday 21st December 2021

Field Trip: Candy Castle, Amsterdam. Campers will enjoy a day out at Candy Castle, a large indoor playground with brightly coloured climbing structures, soft play zone & games, with a kiddie go-kart track! Upon return to camp, we will enjoy sports and recreational activities.

Wednesday 22nd December 2021

Ready, set, bake! We start the day with a baking session, making heart cookies with a wonderfully festive gingerbread flavour. To start our last week at camp, our Explorers will make a bird feeder using recycled materials, before creating a collage of a skiing scene. The Adventurers will make a snowman mobile and learn about a bright red winter bird when they create a cardinal painting. The day will end with sports and recreational activities.

For our last day at camp, we’re making our own pizza! With delicious healthy toppings, we’re cooking in the morning and, of course, enjoying our creation for lunch! In the afternoon, we will enjoy dance sessions to varied music, enjoying different styles of dancing and movement! The day will end with sports and recreational games.
