Cookery Camp - Summer 2022

Cookery Camp - Summer 2022

Our cookery camp provides the perfect opportunity to spend time with fellow campers while being creative in and out of the kitchen!

About Cookery Camp
During Cookery Camp, children will enjoy a culinary "journey" as they learn how to prepare different meals and snacks with all sorts of techniques and textures, from vegetable quiche and cheesy fruity fondue to Mexican fajitas and British scones. All recipes are in keeping with Zein's philosophy, using wholesome, organic ingredients that will keep our little chefs' tasting buds interested! There will also be plenty of choices for different fruity and vegetable toppings throughout the week.

To keep those legs moving, each day there will be time dedicated to a full range of fun and active outside games, and the campers will enjoy two exciting field trips. Your child is invited to join us on a trip to a local play park or forest to enjoy a delicious - self-made - picnic feast, and to an indoor play paradise offering trampolines, ball pits, slides, climbing parkours, tunnels, and more!

Children can release their energy and have great fun on the slides, trampolines, climbing parcours, ball pits and bouncy castles!
What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

Additionally, as Zein is the official childcare partner of all key international schools in the region as well as various local Dutch schools, our staff is trained to apply simple techniques to help children understand the daily routine and quickly become part of the group, regardless of the language they speak.

The camps are also increasingly popular among Dutch children, who enjoy the opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare workers and carried out in an age-appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training. Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.
