Art & Crafts Camp - Summer 2022

During Art & Crafts Camp, the projects will inspire children and nurture their creative skills. Working with different materials and techniques, your child will experiment with something new every day! No artistic abilities required!

About Art Camp
From making sculptures to creating art inspired by famous artists such as Keith Haring, all of our crafty campers at this summer's Art & Crafts Camp will be given free rein with their creativity and are encouraged to use their imagination! Each activity is carefully designed to expose children to new skills, techniques, and materials such as: mosaic, painting on canvas, 3D art, and creative expression. Campers are welcome to take their completed art projects home to show off to friends and family.

In addition to the workshop activities specifically focussing on the theme of the week, each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games daily and two field trips per week. During the field trips, our young artists will visit an art atelier where they will tap into their creativity as they work on various art projects such as an electric wooden car, totem pole, fantasy animal, or soapstone statue - both independently and as a team. What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

Additionally, as Zein is the official childcare partner of all key international schools in the region as well as various local Dutch schools, our staff is trained to apply simple techniques to help children understand the daily routine and quickly become part of the group, regardless of the language they speak.

The camps are also increasingly popular among Dutch children, who enjoy the opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare practitioners and carried out in age-appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training. Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.

How do I make a booking?

Bookings can be made via our online booking form. Your booking will be confirmed by our planning team within 2-3 working days. If you would like to discuss your booking please contact a member of our team using 070 200 2375 or

Register for camp

Parents are advised that children will get the most out of theme camps if they attend the entire week. Therefore, for new clients, we encourage initial bookings to be for 1 week (5 consecutive days). Thereafter bookings can be made in two-day blocks.

How much does camp cost?
The gross cost (without childcare allowance/kinderopvangtoeslag) is €106,16 per day. This price includes healthy organic meals and snacks throughout the day, entrance fees and transport for field trips, and all materials and instruction. Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations and run by qualified staff. Therefore, partial reimbursement of the gross cost is available to most parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality through the Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag). Our staff will be happy to provide more information.
