Performing Arts & Dance Camp - Summer 2021

The perfect camp to stimulate imagination, improve communication and to enjoy movement... A diverse programme featuring a range of different activities looking at different kinds of performance and dance .

About Performing Arts & Dance Camp
From miming to improvising and imitating movements - we’ve got things covered! Campers will learn to express emotions through movement and facial expressions, and characters through accents and different voices. The activities are age appropriate and are designed to improve communication and confidence, as well as specific performance and dance skills.

In addition to the workshop activities specifically focusing on the theme of the week each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games, and two field trips. Campers will visit the Koorenhuis , a  creative hotspot for cultural experience and talent development, twice in the week. During the first visit, campers will enjoy a fun-filled day of dance, and on the other our little performers will enjoy a day of theatre. Click the link to see what a typical day at camp looks like.

Zein is the trusted partner of the key international schools in The Hague including The British School, The International School of The Hague,  The Waldorf School, The European School, The French Lycee and de Haagsche Schoolvereeniging - as well as a number of local Dutch Schools. Please note, however, that all families are welcome throughout the summer, regardless which school your child attends. Parents are free to select any of Zein's locations for holiday camps and, as all are registered and fully licensed, working or families can claim part of the costs for the camps back via the Dutch Childcare Allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag).

Please note: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all children and teachers at Zein, there will be additional safety protocols in place throughout all Holiday Camps.

What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare practitioners and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training.  Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.

How much does it cost?

The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €102.90 per day or €514.50 per week. This price includes healthy organic meals and snacks throughout the day, entrance fees and transport for field trip, and all materials and instruction.

Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
