Circus Camp - Summer 2021

Zein's Circus Camp sparks the curiosity of children by introducing them to the wonderful world of circus skills! Each child will gradually build up key skills including balance, flexibility, coordination, teamwork and focus. Through success comes increased self-esteem...

Circus Camp

Circus teaches children the benefits of hard work and self-reliance. It is great physical conditioning which is useful for dancers, gymnasts and sports enthusiasts of all kinds. During the course of the week, campers will learn how to juggle and use a hula hoop, they’ll have a go at making a circus tent, how to balance objects on different parts of their body and much more!

Finally, the week will be rounded off with a series of shows and performances to allow the children to show off their newfound talents! They are sure to come away with a big smile on their face - amazed at just how far they’ve come and how much they’ve learnt that week.

In addition to the workshop activities specifically focussing on the theme of the week each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games, and two field trips*. Click the link to see what a typical day at camp looks like.

* All Field Trip locations are currently to be confirmed due to current closures of museums and activity centres.

Please note, however, that all families are welcome throughout the summer, regardless which school your child attends. Parents are free to select any of Zein's locations for holiday camps and, as all are registered and fully licensed, working or families can claim part of the costs for the camps back via the Dutch Childcare Allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag).

Please note: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all children and teachers at Zein, there will be additional safety protocols in place throughout all Holiday Camps.

What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment. Activities are led by our qualified childcare practitioners and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training.

How much does it cost?

The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €102.90 per day or €514.50 per week. This price includes healthy organic meals and snacks throughout the day, entrance fees and transport for field trip, and all materials and instruction.

Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance (Kinderopvangtoeslag) is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
