Art & Crafts Camp - Summer 2021

During Art & Crafts Camp, the projects will engage children and nurture their creativity. Arts and crafts support the physical and social development of kids. No artistic abilities required!

About Art Camp
From making sculptures to creating art inspired by famous artists, all of our crafty campers at this summer's Art & Crafts Camp will be given free rein with their creativity and are encouraged to use their imagination! Each activity is carefully designed to expose children to new skills and techniques, such as printing, sculpture, embossing and creative expression. Campers are welcome to take their completed art projects home to show off to friends and family.

In addition to the workshop activities specifically focussing on the theme of the week, each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games daily and two field trips per week*. At the Haags KunstAtelier, campers will travel around the world without an ecological footprint - creating a plane, train or maybe even an ocean dive, children will make their own piece of art with sustainable materials under the supervision of an artist. Click the link to see what a typical day at camp looks like.

* Some Field Trip locations are currently to be confirmed due to current closures of museums and activity centres.

Please note, however, that all families are welcome throughout the summer, regardless which school your child attends. Parents are free to select any of Zein's locations for holiday camps and, as all are registered and fully licensed, working or families can claim part of the costs for the camps back via the Dutch Childcare Allowance (Kinderopvangtoeslag).

Please note: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all children and teachers at Zein, there will be additional safety protocols in place throughout all Holiday Camps.

What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare practitioners and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training. Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.

How much does it cost?

The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €102.90 per day or €514.50 per week. This price includes healthy organic meals and snacks throughout the day, entrance fees and transport for field trips, and all materials and instruction.

Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
