Master Chefs Camp - Summer 2020

The perfect opportunity to spend time with fellow campers while being creative in and out of the kitchen

About Cookery Camp
During Cookery Camp, children will enjoy a culinary "journey" as they learn how to prepare different meals and snacks with all sorts of techniques and textures, from oaty cookies to pizza rolls. All recipes are in-keeping with Zein's philosophy, using wholesome, healthy ingredients to keep our campers' tummies happy and full! There will also be plenty of choice for different fruity and vegetable toppings throughout the week.

To keep those little legs moving, there will naturally be time for a full range of fun and active outside games daily, and the campers will go on two exciting field trips*.

Zein is the trusted partner to most of the international schools in The Hague including The British School, The International School of The Hague, The European School, The French Lycee and de Haagsche Schoolvereeniging. Please note however that families are free to select any of Zein's out of school care locations for holiday camps. All our locations are registered and fully licensed, so working or families can claim part of the costs for the camps back via the Dutch Childcare allowance.

Please note: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all children and teachers at Zein, there will be additional safety protocols in place throughout all Holiday Camps.

What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare workers and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training.  Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.

How much does it cost?

The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €94.50 per day or €472.50 per week. This price includes healthy organic meals and snacks throughout the day; entrance fees and transport for field trips; and all materials and instruction.

Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
