Mad About Science Camp
Young scientists, gather round; this week is all about scientific activities, challenges and experiments. All activities are age appropriate, visually stimulating, hands-on, and sensory rich for discovery and exploration! From exploring pond life with microscopes to building vortex cannons and water tricks, there's something new to learn about for every scientist in the making.
In addition to the workshop activities specifically focussing on the theme of the week each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games, and two field trips*. Click the link to see what a typical day at camp looks like.
* All Field Trips are currently TBC due to current closures of museums and activity centres.
STEM Camp is run in Monday - Friday from 08:00-18:30. The last drop off time is 09:30 to ensure all children can enjoy the full programme. Children can be picked-up anytime between 17:00 - 18:30.

Zein is the trusted partner to most of the international schools in The Hague including The British School, The International School of The Hague, The European School, The French Lycee and de Haagsche Schoolvereeniging. Please note however that families are free to select any of Zein's out of school care locations for holiday camps based on their preference of the theme. All our locations are registered and fully licensed, so working or families can claim part of the costs for the camps back via the Dutch Childcare allowance.
Please note: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all children and teachers at Zein, there will be additional safety protocols in place throughout all Holiday Camps.
Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.
The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!
Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment. Activities are led by our qualified childcare practitioners and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training.
The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €94.50 per day or €472.50 per week. This price includes healthy organic warm meals and snacks throughout the day; entrance fees and transport for field trips; and all materials and instruction.
Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
Bookings can be made via our online booking form. Your booking will be confirmed by our planning team within 2-3 working days. If you would like to discuss your booking please contact a member of our team using 070 326 8263 or info@zeinchildcare.nl.
Please note: initial bookings must be for 1 week (5 consecutive days). Thereafter bookings can be made in two day blocks. Parents are advised that children will get the most out of theme camps if they attend the entire week.
