Autumn Holiday Camps 2020

AUTUMN HOLIDAY CAMPS 2020 PROGRAMME OUT NOW!

In line with the season, we will be running Autumn Themed Multi-Activity Day Camps (for children aged 4 to 12) during the upcoming Autumn holidays of all key international and Dutch schools in The Hague. There will be a varied programme of exciting activities for your child, so they’ll be able to try something new and different every day! The activities are all arranged per age group (Explorers: 4-6 years old & Adventurers: 7-12 years old) to ensure campers of all ages will have great fun and learn new skills.

Our day camps run at all our Out of School Care locations from Monday to Friday from 08:00-18:30. Please see the sections below for more details on the workshop activity programme or click here to reserve a place for your child.

Field trips & complementary activities

Our activity programme is complemented by an exciting field trip every week. Alongside our main activities of the day (see break-down in the menu below), the daily programme is accompanied by sports and recreational games, indoors and outdoors on the playground.

Zein's Health & Safety Protocol

In light of COVID-19, we kindly refer you to our Health & Safety Protocol currently in place. Feel free to read through as it contains our most up-to-date protocols that are effective on all our locations and services. The measures listed meet and exceed the current guidelines issued by the Dutch health authorities (RIVM and GGD) for childcares specifically, and will continue to be adapted accordingly as the situation develops. We kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping the Zein community healthy and safe. Thank you!

Note: Although the programme at The Willows covers the holidays of the BSN, it also covers part of the holidays of local Dutch schools and all our holiday camp locations are open to children from all schools in the surrounding area. Click the link for more info about The Willows.

MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's Autumn Camp offers the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities structured around the theme of Autumn...

Monday 26 October
On the first day of Multi-Activity Camp, our Explorers will get musical and create Mini Lid Banjos and Egg Shaker Maracas and will also make a Fire Breathing Dragon. The Adventurers will be busy making Dreamcatchers, joining in on a Colour Changing Milk Experiment and a Blindfolded Drawing Competition.

Tuesday 27 October
Field trip time! We will go to all-time-favourite TRIXS to release some energy and where the children can showcase their tricks. Back at base camp, it’s time for free play – a variety of games, sports, or just reading or drawing.

Wednesday 28 October
In line with the Autumn season, Yarn Wrap Autumn Leaves and Leaf Hedgehogs will be crafted by the Explorers while they learn how to grow beans on cotton balls, keeping a close eye on their growth for the rest of the week. Our Adventurers will build a Bug Hotel now that colder days are upon them, as well as making a 3D sculpture. And our teachers will teach them how to draw a “sound” character…

Thursday 29 October
Today, Explorers and Adventurers will join forces as they will be participating in the majority of the activities together: Baking Healthy Apple Muffins and Drawing with Chalk and Nature. Making a Ring Toss Game is something the Explorers will do while the Adventurers will be making their own Recycled Memory Card Game.

Friday 30 October
With Halloween around the corner, our teachers have fun activities in store for the campers. The Explorers will be preparing Ghost Fruit Kebabs, craft a Halloween Popsicle Stick Door Hanger and enjoying the ‘What’s in the Box?’ Guessing Game. The Adventurers are baking Mini Ghost Pizzas, making a Spider Web Craft and there will be a Drawing Challenge with their Weak Hand….

Monday 2 November
Who said you need sugar for making perfect jam? Our campers, Explorers and Adventurers, will prove that no sugar is needed for making delicious Strawberry Jam. Furthermore, the Explorers will be making Wooden Spoon Puppets whereas the Adventurers will be making their own Delft Blue Plate.

Tuesday 3 November
On the last day of camp, the Explorers will be having fun with a game of Angry Bird Bowling and making a Lion King Megaphone while the Adventurers are making their own Treasure Map and Chest. The final day of this year’s Autumn Camp, will end with a Music and Dance Competition.
