Autumn Holiday Camps 2019

AUTUMN HOLIDAY CAMPS 2019 PROGRAMME OUT NOW!

In line with the season, we will be running Autumn Themed Multi-Activity Day Camps during the upcoming Autumn holidays of all key international and Dutch schools in The Hague. There will be a full and varied programme of exciting activity workshops for your child to choose from throughout the week, so they’ll be able to try something new and different every day! The themed workshop activities of the day will be complemented by a range of sports and recreational games - all arranged by age group (Explorers: 4-6 years old & Adventurers: 7-12 years old) to ensure campers of all ages will have great fun and learn new skills...

For children aged 4-12 years, the day camps run at all our Out of School Care locations from Monday to Friday from 08:00-18:30. Please see the sections below for more details on the workshop activity programme or click here to reserve a place for your child.

Field trips & complementary activities

Our fun-fulled activity programme is also complemented by two exciting field trips every week. Alongside our main activities of the day (see break-down in the menu below), the daily programme is accompanied by sports and recreational games, indoors ánd outdoors on the play ground.

Programme Autumn Camp at The Willows: Mon 21 October - Mon 28 October (inclusive)

Note: Although the programme at The Willows covers the holidays of the BSN, it also covers part of the holidays of local Dutch schools and all our holiday camp locations are open to children from all schools in the surrounding area. Click the link for more info about The Willows.

MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's Autumn Camp offers the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities structured around the theme of Autumn...

Monday 21 October
On the first day of camp, the Explorers will be busy making a Friendship Rainbow Fish Collage, a Sponge Painting most likely inspired by the autumn scenery and crafting a scary Mummy Wrap, YIKES! The Adventures will first get their hands on creating their own Funny Face Flip Book. Then they will go outside to do a Nature Scavenger Hunt to discover a variety of wonderful autumn features. Back  inside, let's see who is the true artist in the group: get ready for a Blindfolded Drawing Competition...!

Tuesday 22 October
Field trip: Trampoline Hall TRIX! Back at Base Camp, all kids will engage in fun sports and games indoors or outdoors on the play ground.

Wednesday 23 October
Today, the Explorers will be creating their own Alladin Genie Lamp. Now let's hope that all of their beautiful dreams come true... To take the edge of our appetite, we will be making and eating a big Flying Carpet Pizza for all campers, yum! With all Explorers being energised again, we will be surely having a lot of fun doing the Elephant March... The Adventurers will be making Alladin Slime before making the delicious pizza. Afterwards, they will get their body moving by doing Blanket Ball - outdoors if the weather permits.

Thursday 24 October
Field trip: Naturalis. Back at Base Camp, all kids will engage in fun sports and games indoors or outdoors on the play ground.

Friday 25 October
To celebrate autumn, the Explorers will create a beautiful Paper Fall Tree. And for those who love flowers, our teachers have all materials available to make a colourful Flower in a Heart. Or maybe do both? To make arts and crafts a bit more challenging for the little ones, they will learn how to make Paper Spinners. The Adventurers will be joining various challenges: an Engineering Challenge (who builds the best construction?),  a STEM Challenge (building a robotic hand) and a Drawing Challenge with your 'weak' hand (fun guaranteed!).

Monday 28 October
On the last day of the Autumn Holiday Camp, we'll all be having a party! But first some fun activities... The Explorers will be doing Angry Birds Bowling. May the best team win! And in preparation for our party, they will be making their own Lion King Megaphone, RROOAAARRRR!!! The Adventurers will be creating a Treasure Map each as well as a Treasure Chest to take home with them. Quite a work, but luckily the teachers are there to help them. And then.... All campers gather round and let's get this party started!!! There will be music and dancing, and maybe a little competition to end this wonderful camp!
