Field Trip Fun on Football Camp
Playing football in the sun is always a hit with kids, but at last week's Football Camp our sporting campers took things a few stages further as they spent the week honing their ball skills. During sporting theme camps a visiting professional coach comes to the Zein location every morning to put the children through their paces. Participants are split into groups according to age and ability and each is provided with appropriate coaching to bring their skills to the next level.
To keep things varied and interesting, the day is also broken up with a range of other games and activities - both sporting and otherwise. Last week's warm weather presented both challenges and opportunities for the team, but with a little creativity and plenty of water in constant supply great fun was had by all.
As always, the themed field trips provided extra excitement, starting with a visit to the ADO Den Haag Football Stadium. The children received a tour of the stadium, got to watch the team train and even met two of the players! A big thank you goes out to players Tom Beugelsdijk and Mike Havenaar for making the day extra special for our Zein campers! From the stadium, the group made their way to one of Zein's other locations nearby the Stadium - 'The Willows' in Leidschenveen. In line with the sporting theme, the two locations then joined forces and teamed up for an afternoon of 'mini olympics'. After much fun and laughter, all campers left with a certificate of participation
Later in the week, the camp came to an exciting close with another field trip - this time to the cool 'La Playa' sports centre. With a wide range of sports to choose from, the children were spoilt for choice - Speed Soccer, Padel and Beach Volleyball were all big favourites and everyone had a fabulous time in this great sporting facility.
A photo album from the week will follow soon!
