Adventure Camp

Adventure camp runs in The Hague from Mon 17 - Fri 21 July & Mon 7 - Fri 11 August

Set your child’s imagination and adventurous spirit free as they learn about the natural environment and the important skills of survival! A great opportunity to pull your kids away from electronic devices, and get them excited about the outdoors...

At our adventure camp children will be learning timeless traditions of survival as they tackle challenges suited to their age and skill level. Campers will become real adventurers as they learn how to build shelter, make fire, and create – and shoot – their own bow. Additionally, they will strengthen their survival skills by undertaking back-to-basic cooking activities, camouflage tracking and navigation activities.

Treasure hunting becomes much more fun when you get to put your newly learnt compass and map reading skills to the test – and get a bit of help from a metal detector alerting you to a range of things buried underground along the way…

The active hands-on activities are complemented by inside craft activities, team projects and games. As if that’s not enough, the children will also go out on two fantastic field-trips to specialist outdoor survival activity parks where they’ll enjoy a range of other activities and recreational games.

In addition to the workshop activities specifically focussing on the theme of the week each camp also includes fun sports and recreational games, and two field trips. Click the link to see what a typical day at camp looks like.

What language is spoken at the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are open to everyone. English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child's mother tongue.

The camps also offer Dutch children the perfect opportunity to practice their English in a relaxed and informal setting - after all, learning works best when you're having fun!

Do you have qualified staff?

All our camps and activities are led by our qualified childcare workers and carried out in age appropriate format for children aged 4 – 6 and 7 – 12. Where relevant we make use of professional sports teachers and other specialists - all of whom have pedagogical and safety training.  Our holiday camps offer exciting hands-on activities, sports, recreational games and field-trips in a safe and non-competitive environment.

How much does it cost?

The gross cost (without childcare allowance) is €89.25 per day or €446.25 per week. This price includes healthy organic warm meals and snacks throughout the day; entrance fees and transport for field trips; and all materials and instruction.

Please note that all our camps are held at registered childcare locations. Dutch childcare allowance is available for parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality. Our staff will be happy to help you apply.
