FEBRUARY PROGRAMME OUT NOW!

During the upcoming February holidays, we will be running Multi-Activity Day Camps for children aged 4-12, Monday - Friday from 08:00-18:30 during the school holidays of all key international and Dutch schools in The Hague. There will be a full and varied programme of exciting activity workshops for your child to choose from throughout the week, so they’ll be able to try something new and different every day! The themed workshop activities of the day will be complemented by a range of sports and recreational games - all arranged by age group to ensure campers of all ages will have great fun and learn new skills...

The day camps will run at each of our locations - please see the sections below for more details on the workshop activity programme or click the link to reserve a place for your child.   

FIELD TRIPS  

Our fun-fulled activity programme is complemented by two exciting FIELD TRIPS every week.

>  MonkeyTown - Indoor kids playground

>  Meermanno Museum –  Museum focusing on the history of written and printed books

>  Boerderij Het Geertje – Organic farm offering a wide range of children's activities

Programme for The Maples (edge of Statenkwartier)

Please note: The programme for The Maples specifically covers the holiday days of the European School, but the holiday camp location is open to children from all schools in the surrounding area. Click the link to find out more about The Maples

MULTI ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's February Camp offers an old favourite - the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities...

Monday 27 February  
To set the week of to a great start, our younger campers will be focusing on two travel related craft projects as they will be making their own passports and constructing an airport out of recycled materials. The older campers will also try their hand at two craft activities as they make beautiful flowers with the help of brightly coloured tissue paper and, in keeping with the winter season, create & decorate their very own snow globes.

Tuesday 28 February – FIELD TRIP:  Meermanno Museum
Museum focusing on the history of the written and printed book.

Wednesday 1 March
Our campers will turn into chefs as all ages focus on a known favourite - baking. As their creations go into the oven, the children head outside to enjoy multiple team sport related activities. Later in the afternoon the children will settle down to decorate and try their freshly baked vanilla cookies, build a wooden construction using 'Kapla' blocks and enjoy a film.  

Thursday 2 March – FIELD TRIP:  Boerderij Het Geertje
Organic farm offering a wide range of children's activities

Friday 3 March
A day built around the theme of animals & nature! As our younger campers will be making simple bird feeders and getting their faces painted like animals for some exciting pretend-play, our older campers turn into nature photographers as they head outside to search for special plants and insects to photograph. Additionally, to celebrate the end of a great week, our campers will get to make their own pizza for lunch.

MULTI ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's February Camp offers an old favourite - the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities...

Friday 24 February 
Campers will get creative as they create and decorate their own window decorations out of heart shaped coffee filters, and make a friendship tree using their friends' hand prints. To release some energy, the older campers will head outside to play a game of 'Capture the Flag' before heading back inside to bake & decorate their very own winter cookies.

Monday 27 February 
On the first day of the holidays at The Elms location our young campers will get to experiment with colour combinations by mixing finger paint to find out which combinations do and do not work. Next, they will turn their attention to constructing and airport out of recycling materials. The older campers will turn into real adventurers as they head into the woods for an exciting treasure hunt. Back at the base camp they will work on creating beautiful flowers using brightly coloured tissue paper.

Tuesday 28 February – FIELD TRIP:  Meermanno Museum
Museum focusing on the history of the written and printed book.

Wednesday 1 March 
As our younger campers go to prepare their own fruit smoothies, the older campers will be making treasure maps, using tea bags to provide an old and authentic look. Following an afternoon of (outdoor) games and activities, the children will unwind with a film.

Friday 3 March 
Friday will be a day built around the theme of animals for our younger campers as they make simple bird feeders and get their faces painted like animals for some exciting pretend-play. The older campers will be getting their creative juices flowing they undertake salt dough arts and crafts. Additionally, to celebrate the end of a great week our campers will get to make their own pizza for lunch.
