AUTUMN HOLIDAY PROGRAMME OUT NOW!

In line with the season, we will be running Autumn Themed Multi-Activity Day Camps during the upcoming Autumn holidays of all key international and Dutch schools in The Hague. There will be a full and varied programme of exciting activity workshops for your child to choose from throughout the week, so they’ll be able to try something new and different every day! The themed workshop activities of the day will be complemented by a range of sports and recreational games - all arranged by age group to ensure campers of all ages will have great fun and learn new skills... 

For children aged 4-12 years, the day camps run at each of our locations from Monday to Friday from 08:00-18:30.  Please see the sections below for more details on the workshop activity programme or click the link to reserve a place for your child.

Programme for Autumn Camp at The Willows & The Estate : Mon 23 Oct - Mon 30 Oct inclusive

Note: Although the programme at The Willows and The Estate covers the holidays of the BSN, it also covers part of the holidays of local Dutch schools and both these holiday camp locations are open to children from all schools in the surrounding area. Click the links for more info about The Willows and about The Estate

MULTI ACTIVITY CAMP

This year's Autumn Camp offers the multi-activity camp, where we look to engage the children in a wide range of fun skills, games and activities structured around the theme of Autumn...

Monday 23 October 
On the first day of the holidays the campers will head outside for a scavenger hunt, collecting the most beautiful leafs they can find to create Nature Art when they get back inside. The older campers will be using their leafs to decorate Glowing Leaf Lanterns, while the younger campers paint theirs to make an Autumn collage later in the day. Up next is a workshop activity that will be popular with both age groups as the children create 'Krimpie Dinkie' friendship designs and key chains using Shrinking Foil. Additionally, older campers will get focused to create a cosmic mobile that can be hung from the ceiling. To release some energy, campers will head outside for Soccer Race Games and other sports and recreational games of choice.

Wednesday 25 October
In keeping with the season, we'll be enjoying Pumpkin Workshop Activities. The younger children will be learning about the different stages of the pumpkin (from seed to pumpkin) while undertaking interesting Pumpkin Life Cycle Craft while things will get really interesting for the older children, as they undertake a science experiment making mini pumpkin volcanoes. Then, it will be time to put our chefs hats on to prepare a lunch of healthy Quesadilla Pizza and Salad for the younger children and Healthy Taco Lasagna and Salad for the older children. In the afternoon, we'll be doing art activities using paint and play an exciting game of Stone Paper Scissor Tag and other sports and games!

Friday 27 October 

On Friday we'll be putting our chefs hats back on to make our very own pumpkin soup with breadsticks. Following, it's time to get creative as we make spinning 3D Hot Air Balloons and a Scary Pirate Hat and & Patch. We'll find out just how creative our campers can get when they let their imagination run wild for a fun Design Competition making Crazy Creations from recycled materials. Later in the afternoon, we'll be getting active playing outdoor games like of The Kids Who Cried Wolf, Candy Mix and others.

Monday 30 October
On the last day of the Autumn holiday we'll get creative exploring different art forms. The younger children will be making Paper Tissue Flowers, Tie-Dyed Fish, and Felt Finger Puppets while the older campers will be Salt Water Painting, making a Nature Craft Turkey, and a Dream Catcher. The (outdoor) games for the day are Head Up, Seven Up and a variety of other sports challenge and ball games.

To cover the staff INSET day, we will be providing a fun and active Holiday Day Camp on Friday 16 October.

Monday 23 October
To set the week of to a great start, our campers will be turning their heads to creative crafts. As creative crafters, our youngest campers will enjoy working on creating their own Felt Print Finger Puppets and Hand Print Spiders whilst the older campers put their design skills to work ask they create Turkeys using natural materials as well as beautiful Dream Catchers.

Wednesday 25 October 

A day all about (Autumn) Arts and Crafts! For the first workshop activity of the day, both the younger and older campers will head outside to collect leaves to create beautiful Autumn placemats with. Later in the day,  the younger children get focused as they create the most unique paper flowers while the older children get to experiment with salt water painting. (Outdoor) games like Head Up, Seven Up, Pac Man and others will complete the programme for the day.

Thursday 26 October - Field trip: Trampoline Hall TRIX!  

Friday 27 October
On Friday our campers get to partake in a firm favourite - baking! Together, the children will be preparing a delicious pumpkin pie. Additionally, the younger campers will be making their own Zebra Finger Puppet and the older children will get really creative as they turn stones and other natural items into beautiful Natural Design Objects. To release some energy, we'll be playing a variety of recreational games and sports of choice!


NEW THEME: Fairy Tales & Script Writing

Monday 30 October
The week will be of to a great start with the younger children teaming up to choose a fairytale to reenact. Together, they will be selecting a story, dividing the roles and practicing their theater performance skills. At the same time, the older children will become story writers as they start the day brainstorming ideas for their very own fairy tale! Up next - they will be turning their fairy tale into a written story. Of course, there will also be plenty of time dedicated to recreational sports and games.

Wednesday 1 November
On Wednesday, rehearsals of the fairy tale will continue for the younger campers whilst the older campers develop a script for the story they wrote on Monday & work on costume-making to ensure they will also look the part.. In additional to the range of outdoor games and activities on offer, campers will be able to get crafty making Fairies in a Jar!

Thursday 2 November - Field trip: Indoor Playhall MonkeyTown!

Friday 3 November
On the last day of the week, the younger campers will be making piggy banks while the older children focus on making piggy masks. Following the last round of rehearsals, it's performance time! We cannot wait to see both age groups perform the plays they've been working so hard during the week!
