We employ a qualified chef on each location to work in our professional kitchen, ensuring that the children in our care are provided with freshly prepared nutritious food.

At Zein we believe that nutrition is one of the most important aspects of a child's development. A healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity is essential for children’s health and well-being - ensuring that they eat well in their early years is key to ensuring that they achieve their potential. Young children are growing quickly - they have high energy and nutrient requirements comparative to their their size. They also eat smaller amounts than older children and adults, so it is important for them to eat regular meals and snacks that contain sufficient energy and nutrients for their needs. 

We cook fresh, nutritious food on site every day.  We employ a qualified chef on each location to work in our professional kitchen, ensuring that the children in our care are provided with freshly prepared nutritious food. We make it a priority to ensure that every child in our care eats as healthily as possible and experiences a wide range of tastes, textures and culinary combinations.  We serve wholesome warm meals every lunchtime and healthy snacks throughout the day. 

Our menu includes lots of fresh fruits, organic vegetables, fresh meats and fish, organic milk and fresh water.  The children even grow their own organic fruits and vegetables in our gardens - sometimes then helping the chef prepare delicious snacks for them to enjoy. The harvesting and preparation of food - even in its most basic of forms - is a great example of how we turn everyday tasks into a learning opportunity for our children.  We take great care to encourage all children to eat a wide variety of foods and develop good dietary habits to take with them into later childhood and beyond.
